We are happy to accept ESA (Empowerment Scholarship Account) Funds from the state of Arizona for most of our offerings. There are two ways you can sign up using ClassWallet funds:

1. ClassWallet Debit Card

2. ClassWallet VendorPay

3. ClassWallet Reimbursement

Use a Debit Card

With a ClassWallet debit card, you can simply add it as a payment method and sign up for any of our offerings through our online portal.

Use ClassWallet VendorPay

To use VendorPay, ClassWallet requires a detailed itemized invoice to be submitted prior to authorizing payment to any vendor. We will provide you an invoice that complies with Arizona's DOE requirements as listed in the ESA Handbook.

Invoices must include:

• Student’s name

• Name of provider of services

• Description of services

• Transaction date

• Itemized list of tuition or fee amounts

• Total amount charged

• Proof of method of payment (only for reimbursements)

For 2024, Arizona has introduced stricter requirements for demonstrating curriculum relevance for ESA eligible expenses. If you need assistance, our team is available to help with this process.

Submitting Registration Requests

First, make sure you have an account with Recess. If you don't have already, please create one.

For courses, you may submit registration requests by sending an email to [email protected] with the following information:

• Kid's Name

• Course Name

• Cohort Time (if applicable)

• Number of weeks for which you'd like to register (many of our programs by default charge weekly recurring class fees. Since it's impractical to submit and get approval for invoices every week, you can prepay for any number in advance)

For registration for the Recess Membership Program, please indicate:

• Kid's Name

• Number of membership months (We also offer exclusive annual pricing for Arizona ESA families)

Once we receive your request we will generate and issue you an invoice, which you may submit to our page through VendorPay.

Final Approval and Registration

The approval process is managed by Arizona DOE and approval times vary. Unfortunately, you'll be unable to join your selected classes prior to disbursement of funds, so we recommend planning in advance!

ClassWallet Reimbursement

If you just can't wait and are eager to start ASAP, you can start your enrollments by signing up for classes directly on recess.gg with a personal credit card and file for reimbursement directly from ClassWallet.
